The weekly journal “Polityka” awarded the Scientific Awards

The jury selected five winners of the main prizes in the amount of 15 thousand PLN from fifteen scientists who reached the finals from over 400 applications.

The winners of the Polityka 2021 Scientific Awards were:

– in the humanities category – Dr Michał Przeperski from the Laboratory of the History of Humanistic and Social Ideas at the Institute of the History of Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN);

– in the category of social sciences – Dr Maciej Stolarski, from the Department of Psychological Diagnosis and Psychometry, Faculty of Psychology, University of Warsaw;

– in the life science category – Prof. Michał Grąt from the Department and Clinic of General, Transplant and Liver Surgery, Medical University of Warsaw;

– in the exact sciences category – Dr Sebastian Trojanowski, Assistant Professor at the Particle Astrophysics Group at the Astronomical Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences and at the National Center for Nuclear Research;

– in the category of technical sciences – Dr Eng. Beata Bochentyn, the Faculty of Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics of the Gdańsk University of Technology.
