Prof. Cezary Domański receives Scientific Award of the Lublin Scientific Society

Prof. Cezary Domański from the Department of Psychology of Emotion and Personality at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin became the winner of the annual Scientific Award granted by the Lublin Scientific Society for the monograph “History of Psychology in Central Europe”.

Professor Domański is a psychologist and historian. The subject of his latest book is the development of psychology, psychiatry, and related sciences from the 19th century to 1939. In his book he presented the basic facts and names of psychologists who lived and worked in Poland, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia.

The prize has been awarded since 2000 for research works characterized by originality and high scientific value; a book publication or monograph with special cognitive value; or for innovative technical improvements. Candidates are proposed by deans of university faculties and directors of scientific institutes, and the laureate is selected by jury of rectors of five Lublin universities.
