The Faculty of Economics and Sociology at the University of Lodz invites participants to a lecture by Prof. Emilio Meneses, titled “Central Europe and Latin America: front line or peripheric regions?”, which will be held on June 12, 2018.

The Professor will discuss issues of geopolitical status and economic importance of Central Europe and Latin America, especially in the context of US-Chinese-Russian rivalry.
Professor Emilio Meneses is a graduate of Georgetown University and the University of Oxford. In the years 1981-1984 he was an adviser to the Minister of Defense of Chile. Then he was the head of the Department of Defense Studies at the Catholic University of Chile and the Department of International Relations at Chilean Naval War College.
