The University of Wrocław and Academia Europaea Wrocław Knowledge Hub invite participants to the lecture of Prof. Herta Flor “From acute to chronic pain: the role of learning and cerebral plasticity”.

Professor Flor, a world-renown specialist in the field of neuropsychological research on chronic pain, will talk about short-term and chronic pain, its impact on the body and quality of life, and how neuropsychology can help in coping with suffering.

Herta Flor is a professor of neuropsychology at the University of Heidelberg and the director of the Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience at the Central Institute of Mental Health in Mannheim. She also deals with the process of learning and memorizing in the context of neurology, treatment of psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety or substance abuse and neuropsychological rehabilitation.
