The University Electoral College has elected Prof. Maciej Słodki, MD, as Rector of the Mazovian Academy in Płock for the term of 2024- 2028. The Rector, who currently holds this position, was the only candidate and was supported by all 18 electors.
Prof. Maciej Słodki has been working for the Mazovian Academy in Płock since 2009. He participated in the creation of the first medical faculties in Plock, serving as the Rector’s plenipotentiary for the establishment and organisation of the Institute of Health Sciences of the State Higher Vocational School in Plock. From 2010 to 2016, he was the director of the institute.
The Płock Academy was the first vocational university in Poland to transform into an academy as a result of meeting all statutory criteria. In 2023, it obtained the right to confer doctoral and post-doctoral degrees in the discipline of family sciences.
Rector Maciej Słodki announces the further scientific development of the university into a university and the launch of new fields of study, including automation and robotics and law.
