Prof. Richard Hoogenboom of the University of Ghent in Belgium will give an open popular science lecture on modern polymer materials on 15 October in Wrocław. The Łukasiewicz – Polish Center for Technology Development (PORT) is inviting to participate to a meeting with an outstanding polymer researcher.

The scientist will visit Wrocław as part of the Visiting Professors program. In the premises of the Łukasiewicz – PORT at ul. Stabłowicka he will give a lecture “Polymers – from plastics to smart materials”, in which he will discuss modern polymer materials, showing that nowadays polymers are much more than plastic.

Professor Hoogenboom is one of the world’s leading scientists in the field of polymer chemistry. He has written over 400 scientific publications, which were cited by almost 20,000 times. He is a laureate of many prestigious awards, including the Carl S. Marvel Award for Creative Polymer Chemistry Award granted in 2020 by the POLY division of the American Chemical Society.
