Prof. Andrzej Friszke, author of the book “The Case of eleven prisoners. The imprisonment of the leaders of NSZZ “Solidarność” and KSS “KOR” 1981-1984″ received the Prof. Tadeusz Kotarbiński award for outstanding scientific work in the field of humanities. The winner received PLN 50,000 for further implementation of his research.

Professor Andrzej Friszke works at the Department of the Contemporary Political History of the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Thanking for the prize, the laureate said: “I tried to tell the truth about past times, about the challenges that the Poles survived and about the consequence, that is, the victory of freedom in Poland.”
