Professor Leszek Kaczmarek becomes the president of the European Molecular Biology Conference

Professor Leszek Kaczmarek from the Institute of Experimental Biology Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) was elected the president of the European Molecular Biology Conference (EMBC).

The European Molecular Biology Conference was founded in 1969. It brings together 30 countries, mainly members of the European Union. Poland joined the EMBC in 1999. The organization’s task is to support European cooperation and to finance the education and career development of researchers in the field of molecular biology.

Professor Leszek Kaczmarek heads the Laboratory of Molecular and Cell Neurobiology at the Institute of Experimental Biology of PAN. He is a member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Academia Europaea.
