Professor Magdalena Król from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) in Warsaw joined over 50 scholarship holders of the European Research Council (ERC) who received the ERC Proof of Concept grants to study the commercial or social potential of their research results.

Grants are part of the EU’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.

Professor Magdalena Król is a specialist in experimental oncology. Her work has been repeatedly appreciated and awarded. She received scholarship of the Ministry of Science for outstanding young scientists, Pfizer Animal Health scholarship, L’Oreal habilitation scholarship and Unesco award for women, as well as awards from the Polish Society of Veterinary Sciences. In 2016, she received the prestigious Starting Grant worth EUR 1.4 million from European Research Council (ERC).
