Professor Marian Gorynia becomes doctor honoris causa of the University of Bialystok

Professor Marian Gorynia, an eminent Polish economist, received the title of doctor honoris causa of the University of Bialystok (UwB).

Professor Marian Gorynia graduated in economics from the Poznań University of Economics, where he also defended his PhD in 1985. In 1995 he obtained a postdoctoral degree, and in 2000 – a scientific title of professor of economic sciences. From 2003, he is a full professor at the University of Economics in Poznań.

He is a member of editorial committees and program councils of many scientific journals, e.g. ,, Journal of Transnational Management”, “International Journal of Institutional Governance”, “Economist”, “National Economy” and “Economic Studies”. He is a member of the Economic Sciences Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Central Commission for Degrees and Titles. Professor Gorynia is also the chairman of the Scientific Council of the Polish Economic Society.
