On Friday, 14 June 2019, the guest of the Krakow University of Technology (PK) was Prof. Piotr Moncarz from Stanford University, specialist in the field of materials engineering, new technologies and international industry. Professor Moncarz gave a lecture entitled “Engineer and the Digital Revolution. Innovation = Science & Technology + Business “.

Professor Moncarz is the director of the Top 500 Innovators program, as well as a co-founder and chairman of the US-Polish Trade Council, an organization supporting cooperation between the United States and Poland. He sits in the council of the National Center for Research and Development, he is a member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Russian Academy of Technical Sciences, in 2017 he was elected a member of the American National Academy of Engineering (NAE).

In his lecture, Prof. Moncarz raised the subject of educating future engineers and commercializing research results.
