Program developed at the Warsaw School of Economics helps to make decisions

03.01.2019

The SilverDecisions program developed in the Decision Support and Analysis Department of the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) was included into the Innovation Radar program by the European Commission.

The SilverDecisions program is used to support decision making using the decision tree method and is a graphical presentation of the relationship between successive actions and the possible consequences of these actions, and enables the analysis of uncertainty accompanying the decision-making process.

Today the program is used by law firms in the US to translate the potential results of various activities to clients and doctors to illustrate possible treatment scenarios for patients. The software is also used at universities for scientific and didactic purposes. The user community has exceeded 60,000 in over 150 countries.

Currently, it is the only fully free and open software of this type in the world with such advanced functionality.
