Project by Kozminski University and a university from Ostrava received a grant in the OPUS 24+LAP competition

Kozminski University (ALK) in Warsaw, together with the Czech VSB Technical University of Ostrava, has been awarded funding under the OPUS 24+LAP programme for Polish-Czech bilateral projects. The project will be co-financed by the National Science Centre. 

The research project ‘The return of state capitalism: the impact of the state on market actors, debt and the environment’ has been awarded a grant of PLN 755,779.  It will be carried out with researchers associated with the World Bank and in collaboration with units from the University of Oxford and the IESEG School of Management. 

The leader of the Polish team is Dr Aneta Hryckiewcz-Gontarczyk, Professor ALK. 

Dr Hryckiewcz-Gontarczyk is also the Head of the Economic Institute for Empirical Analysis and the Research Centre for Financial Stability. She is as well the creator and Head of the Big Data Science degree programme in English at ALK.
