Project: “The English edition of the book ‘Philosophical and translational journeys in the Moomin Valley’ ‘by Dr Hanna Dymel-Trzebiatowska, from the philology department of the University of Gdańsk, obtained funding under the Uniwersalia 2.1 competition of the National Program for the Development of Humanities.

– The book is an outstanding scientific work, far beyond the standards of this type of dissertation. The author conducts research in a way that fascinates the reader, encouraging them to make their own inquiries and reflections. She explains the Tove Jansson series through the prism of philosophical contexts and translation problems, finding material in both perspectives that allow for the interpretation of the multi-addressness of the nature of children’s literature.

The aim of the Uniwersalia competition is to disseminate the achievements of Polish humanities in the world through translation into the congress language: English, French, German, Spanish or Russian together with the publication of the work.
