Three scientists from the University of Gdańsk received funding for their projects as part of the OPUS competition of the National Science Center. 1880 applications were submitted to the16th OPUS competition.
As part of the competition, project funds were received by: Prof. Marek Grinberg from the faculty of mathematics, physics and computer science for “Energy structure and spectroscopic properties of 3d3 (Cr3 +, Mn4 +) ions in crystalline matrices in extreme conditions”; by Dr Agnieszka Herman from the oceanography and geography department for “Observation and modeling of the interaction of sea ice with the boundary layer of the atmosphere and the ocean” and by Dr Tomasz Widłak from the law and administration department for “Judges and virtues. Study of the theoretical theory of justice”.
OPUS is a competition addressed to scientists regardless of the stage of their scientific career, with no funding limit for one project. In this year’s competition, 361 projects were qualified for financing.
