The Conference of Rectors of Polish Academic Schools (KRASP) together with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW) decided to appoint 16 voivodeship (regional) coordinators who will monitor the epidemic situation at universities in the regions.

The task of each coordinator is to collect and update data on the number of confirmed infections, quarantine referrals and any other disturbing events related to the epidemic occurring in universities, in cooperation with the university authorities.

Anna Budzanowska, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, said, that the current epidemic situation and the increase of the number of cases enforce more care for the safety of the entire academic community. She added that better monitoring of the situation at universities nationwide is prerequisite to obtain up-to-date information.
