The publishing house of the Krakow University of Technology (PK) won awards in two categories of the Competition for the Best Book and Technicus Technical Guide, organized by the Supreme Technical Organization.

The best technical book of this year’s Technicus competition was “Car Design” by Aleksandra Sładek-Zapletal, a well-known designer working for Škoda and Volkswagen concerns. The book was published by PK Publishing House.

Award in the Technical Guide category was also taken by  PK Publishing House for the publication of Andrzej and Łukasz Flaga “Aerodynamics of overhead power lines with consideration of other environmental influences”. The appreciated monograph is based on the results of scientific and research work of the Wind Engineering Laboratory team of the Krakow University of Technology, implemented as part of the Gekon – Ecological Concept Generator project. The book is the first publication in Poland dealing with the issues of the aerodynamics of overhead power lines in terms of other environmental influences.
