The university noted nearly 1,600 applicants for the newly created medical faculty, with very high interest also in this year’s other new course – mathematics and data analysis, and traditionally applied computer science and cyber security. A total of 20,766 applications were registered in the Wrocław University of Science and Technology’s recruitment system.
The university has prepared 6,768 places for BA studies in 59 diverse majors. 10,922 people registered in the recruitment system and the total number of applications was 20,766. The most popular majors were: medicine (27 people per place), mathematics and data analysis (10 people) and applied computer science (9 people).
Recruitment for master’s programmes continues until 20 July. There are 637 places available on 16 courses, six of which are in English. A novelty is Urban Mining – recycling engineering (the only such major in Poland), where students will learn how to recover valuable raw materials from waste generated by human activity.
