Rector of the WSB Academy in Dąbrowa Górnicza, Dr Zdzisława Dacko-Pikiewicz won the title of “Promoter of Poland”. The board of the Foundation of the Polish Promotional Emblem “Teraz Polska” appreciated the laureate’s achievements in promoting Polish science and the development of Polish higher education.

“Promoter of Poland” is a title awarded to people whose scientific, business or cultural achievements build the image of the Polish national brand. The award ceremony took place during the European Economic Congress in Katowice.

“We are convinced that the Polska brand is co-created not only by products, services and innovations, but also – and perhaps most of all – by people. It is necessary to distinguish those Poles who, through their achievements and commitment, contribute to the promotion and strengthening of a positive image of our country”, emphasizes Krzysztof Przybył, President of the Polish Promotional Emblem Foundation, in a letter informing about the award.
