Rectors of fourteen universities from southern Poland visited Brussels on 19 and 20 March. They took part in meetings with representatives of the European Union institutions and discussed European programs related to higher education as well as scientific research.

Their visit was an opportunity to talk about higher education with Tibor Navracsics, who will be the EU commissioner for education, culture, youth and sport from 2020. During the meeting, they discussed the issues related to higher education and scientific research after 2020 from the perspective of the European Union, including the new EU initiative called the European Education Space.
