Report on research and development activities of Polish enterprises

55 percent Polish companies conduct research and development – according to the latest report “R & D exemption – a milestone in the development of enterprises’ innovation”, prepared for the Ayming Poland.

The report was prepared by the agency Kantar Millward Brown, which conducted a market research on R & D activities and the use of an exemption for research and development in companies.

From 2018, entrepreneurs conducting research and development activities can deduct as much as 100 percent of eligible costs. Previously, it was 50 percent. After more than two years of Polish proposal of exemption for research and development, as much as 35 percent. entrepreneurs admitted that they did not hear about it. However, only 9 percent entrepreneurs deducted it in the fiscal year 2017.
The report shows that as many as 45 percent of business representatives do not conduct research and development activities and do not benefit from exemptions. Companies lose the opportunity to obtain savings that could be spent on business development.
