Prof. Grzegorz Królczyk from the Department of Machine Technology and Production Automation of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Opole University of Technology received a grant from the National Science Center as part of the OPUS competition. The scientist also became a member of the editorial committee of the prestigious magazine “Measurement”.

Professor Królczyk deals with modeling of dynamic and endurance issues in the process of precise milling. The project will be implemented in 2018-2020. Its budget is over PLN 750,000.

OPUS is a competition for research projects, including financing the purchase or manufacture of equipment necessary for their implementation. It is a prestigious competition, in which the academic achievements, including publications in renowned scientific journals, constitute a significant contribution to the scientist’s final evaluation. “Measurement” is one of the most prestigious metrological journals in the world. Professor Królczyk accepted the position of Associate Editor.
