Researcher at the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław receives one million PLN from the Leader program

14.12.2018

Dr Paulina Nowicka from the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław will receive almost PLN 1 million from the program of the National Center for Research and Development ‘Leader’ for scientists under 35 of age, who want to gain experience in managing research projects and in building a team.

With this financing, Dr Nowicka will carry out research combining natural sciences in the field of food and human nutrition technology as well as biological sciences. She wants to develop innovative healthy and tasty snacks for kids.

– I plan to use our native fruits and vegetables (e.g. cherry, apple, pear, kamchatka berry, sea buckthorn, kale, spinach, tomato) characterized by high pro-health potential. I will also use herbs and edible flowers. The plan is to expand the range of products available on the market with health-promoting features that are not only healthy, but also tasty, and thus increase the demand for Polish vegetables and fruits.
