Prof. Paweł Zawadzki from the Academy of Music in Wrocław received the Award of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (MKiDN) 2022 in the category of Artistic Education. The awards were presented during a gala ceremony in the Kubicki Arcades of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, the university reports.
The laureate is a pianist and pedagogue, winner and jury member of piano competitions. He graduated with honours from the Academy of Music in Wrocław. He has performed on philharmonic stages performing piano concerts under the baton of eminent conductors. He has been recognised for his contribution to the education of young artists – his students and pupils have won dozens of prizes at major international and national piano competitions.
The award of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage is a distinction aimed at honouring people connected with culture, whose activity contributes in a special way to the development, dissemination and protection of culture and national heritage. It has been awarded since 1997 in 18 categories.
