Prof. Beata Kolesińska from the Faculty of Chemistry of the Lodz University of Technology was honored with the Innovation Ambassador Award by the European Center for Economic Development. The researcher was awarded for conducting research and pioneering projects with application potential.

Research interests of Prof. Kolesińska include the design and synthesis of peptides, i.e. those proteins that take part in all physiological processes of living organisms.

Prof. Kolesińska received the title of the Scientist of the Future in 2019 as part of the Polish Intelligent Development Award For innovative hybrid materials for tissue regeneration and hemostatic, resorbable dual-use dressings.

The laboratory under her management is part of the Center for research on new biologically active compounds potentially useful in medical diagnostics, created at the Faculty of Chemistry as part of a project co-financed by the Regional Operational Program of the Lodzkie Voivodship under the so-called Territorial Contract.
