Three researchers of the University of Life Sciences in Poznań win the Miniatura competition

The projects of three scientists from the University of Life Sciences in Poznań were included in the first ranking list of the Miniatura 5 competition organized by the National Science Center. Researchers participating in the competition could apply for funds for preliminary and pilot studies, queries, research internships and research or consultation trips.   

The winners of the competition are: Dr Mariusz Malinowski from the Faculty of Economics – the project “Financial situation of local government units and the standard of living of residents”; Dr Eng. Karolina Jarzyniak from the Faculty of Agriculture, Horticulture and Bioengineering – “Using the CRISPR-Cas9 system to switch off selected genes encoding MATE transporters in Lotus japonicus” and Dr Eng. Joanna Jaskuła from the Faculty of Environmental and Mechanical Engineering – “Analysis of the influence of the morphological features of the riverbed on the spatial differentiation of the concentrations of rare earth elements in the bottom sediments of lowland rivers of varying degrees of transformation”.
