Dr Eng. Agnieszka Ławrynowicz, Poznan University of Technology from the Faculty of Computer Science and Telecommunications, won the Scientist of the Future award during the Intelligent Development Forum. She was awarded for her research related to artificial intelligence.
The researcher runs the project “TAISTI – artificial intelligence technologies for recommending substitutes for ingredients in cooking recipes”.
The goals of the project are to integrate knowledge and data on recipes and their ingredients to use artificial intelligence algorithms, develop machine learning-based methods to recommend potential ingredient substitutes and predict their properties.
The project implementers also want to develop reasoning-based methods for selecting and explaining target ingredients and their adequate substitutes, and a proof-of-concept system for recommending ingredient substitutes in order to integrate and demonstrate the developed technologies.
