Scientist from the Medical University of Silesia awarded with the Dr Jordan’s medal

Dr Tomasz Męcik-Kronenberg from the Medical University of Silesia (SUM) was awarded the highest award of the Society of Friends of Children – the Dr Jordan’s medal for many years of commitment to children and for working for their benefit, as well as for long-term development of children, helping to shape their character and fulfilling a caring role for those in need of care.

The laureate has been an employee of the Medical University of Warsaw for 24 years, employed at the Department and Department of Pathomorphology. For many years, he has been meeting children, implementing social programs, for which he has been awarded many times with the laurels of volunteering. He undertakes many actions related to promoting moral education, providing first aid and learning empathy, and his educational programs for children are highly appreciated.

The decoration took place during the Polish-Ukrainian integration picnic on the occasion of Children’s Day. Several hundred Polish and Ukrainian children took part in it.
