Dr Aleksander Czogalla from the biotechnology department of the University of Wrocław has been awarded within the Polpharma Scientific Foundation competition.
A Wrocław scientist obtained a grant of 510,000 PLN for the implementation of the research project “Designing, manufacturing and checking the effectiveness of new TP53 gene carriers for use in anticancer therapies”.
The theme of this year’s competition was the development and optimization of processes in medical biotechnology. The participants were scientists with at least a PhD degree who proposed: optimization of existing drug manufacturing methods – or potential biotechnology drugs, creation of new, better expression systems, mathematical models of biotechnological processes enabling their optimization and control, devices or technical solutions that improve biotechnology processes.
