Researcher from the Warsaw School of Economics becomes an expert of the European Commission

Professor Urszula Kurczewska from the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) in Warsaw was appointed the European Commission expert on ethics in the Horizon 2020 research program.

The professor will evaluate research projects from various fields from the perspective of ethics. She is the head of the Department of Sociology at the Institute of Philosophy of Sociology and Economic Sociology at SGH.

HORIZON 2020 is the European Union program, financing activities supporting the ideas of the Innovative Union in Europe 2020, the initiative is aimed at ensuring Europe’s competitiveness in the world. In terms of its research and innovation, it is expected to contribute to economic growth and employment in the European Union.
