Prof. Eng. Barbara Tomaszewska, Faculty of Geology, Geophysics and Environmental Protection of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow has become a member of the prestigious UNESCO Chair on Groundwater Arsenic within the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. She is the only Pole in this group.
UNESCO Chair on Groundwater Arsenic within the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is an independent team of experts and advisers carrying out joint research, looking for innovative solutions and good practices to solve the global water problem under the UNESCO 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The international team of researchers creates a “global umbrella” for the coordinated and interdisciplinary creating a repository of knowledge and its transfer in solving the problem of arsenic and its impact on people. Its research uses solutions with a significant technological perspective as well as it deals with socio-economic and environmental problems.
