The book “Parallel Worlds. What Do Flat Earthians, Homeopaths and Dowsers Teach Us?” written by Dr Łukasz Lamża from the Copernicus Center for Interdisciplinary Research of the Jagiellonian University won this year’s Golden Rose competition for the best Polish popular science book.
The jury of the competition awards books that are used to disseminate scientific knowledge and are distinguished by their outstanding literary form.
The Golden Rose competition for the best Polish popular science book is organized by the Warsaw Science Festival, the Book Institute and the monthly “New Books”.
-We were waiting for it. We, tired of claims without research, fantasies without any scientific basis. The author defends reason, not attacking or ridiculing. He cites facts consistent with modern knowledge. It does not assume bad intentions. He finds real elements lost in the great sum of errors – said Prof. Magdalena Fikus, member of the jury.
