Dr Eng. Agnieszka Ruppert of the Lodz University of Technology of the Faculty of Chemistry has been awarded the prestigious Polish Intelligent Development Award 2020 in the Scientist of the Future category.

Dr Eng. Agnieszka Ruppert has researched the use of nanomaterials for the production of biofuels. As the researcher emphasizes, “thanks to the use of new nanomaterials designed by us, the production of biofuels will become easier and much more environmentally friendly”.

These studies are carried out in cooperation with centers in France and Germany. The project “Competitive catalysts based on base metals for the conversion of biomass to compounds of industrial importance” received funding from the National Science Center under the SONATA BIS 6 program.
