Dr Michał Brzeziński, Assistant Professor at the Department of Paediatrics, Gastroenterology, Allergology and Child Nutrition of the Medical University of Gdańsk, has been awarded this year’s “Golden OTIS” Trust Award. He was recognised in the Future of Medicine Award category for his commitment to creating a system for the prevention and treatment of obesity in the youngest. 

The laureate is a specialist in paediatrics and paediatric gastroenterology. He is the creator and implementer of health programmes and policies for local authorities and state administration units. He was the co-author and coordinator of the 6-10-14 for Health programme, the first coordinated project in Poland for the prevention and treatment of childhood obesity.

“The Golden OTIS is an award given on the initiative of a group of distinguished experts who shape the health care system in Poland. It is awarded to outstanding doctors, pharmacists, journalists and patient organisations and pharmaceutical companies.
