Researcher of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń joins the list of “50 bold women 2020”

Dr Aleksandra Derra, the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, was included in the list of “50 bold women 2020” in a special issue of the “Wysokie Obcasy” magazine.

The list includes women who significantly changed the reality in public space. They include politicians, women of science, art and business, and local activists.

The Toruń researcher was awarded “for standing up for equality in the academic world”. She was actively involved in helping molested employees and students. She is the first Rector’s Plenipotentiary for Equal Treatment. In her scientific work, she also deals with contemporary feminist theories and gender issues in science, contemporary philosophy of science, studies in science and technology, feminist theories and critical trends in posthumanism. The laureate is a graduate of Polish philosophy and philology.
