Dr Magdalena Śliwińska from the University of Economics in Poznań, by the decision of the European Commission (DG Trade) and the International Trade Center, was appointed to the Evaluation Committee of the EU Cities For Fair and Ethical Trade Award. The researcher from Poznań is the only representative of Poland in the Committee.

The EU Cities For Fair and Ethical Trade Award is a competition that aims to identify leaders in the European Union in terms of the scale and variety of ways to support sustainable, fair and ethical trade.

The winner of the previous competition was the Belgian city of Ghent. The distinguished cities form a network of leader cities and are an example of how local authorities can support sustainable trade and contribute to the growth of social responsibility in the international and intergenerational dimension.
