Researcher of the University of Life Sciences in Poznań received the Michał Oczapowski Medal

Professor Monika Kozłowska from the University of Life Sciences in Poznań received the medal of Michał Oczapowski – the highest distinction of the 2nd Department of Biological and Agricultural Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

The reason for awarding Prof. Kozłowska were her achievements in the development of plant physiology at the home university, participation in the promotion of young scientific staff, in promotion proceedings and in the development of design research, as well as scientific, didactic and organizational achievements. Her expert input and activity in science and higher education institutions were also taken into account.

Medal of Oczapowski is awarded to commemorate the precursor of agricultural sciences. It is awarded to individuals and institutions for outstanding contributions to the development of agricultural and applied biological sciences in Poland. In addition to Prof. Kozłowska also Prof. Bożena Patkowska-Sokoła from the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław and Prof. Jerzy Lipiec from the Institute of Agrophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences received the medals.
