Prof. Łukasz Sadowski from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Wrocław University of Technology received the Wacław Żenczykowski medal of the Polish Association of Construction Engineers and Technicians. The jury appreciated the laureate’s scientific and technical achievements in construction.
The award is a prestigious distinction awarded for successes in general construction, including issues of building materials, building physics, technology of construction works.
Prof. Sadowski was distinguished for his results of research on the development of a new approach to the identification of the composite of layered cement composites thanks to the knowledge of phenomena at the micro- and nano-level.
– The tests may be used for more effective joining of cement floors or pavements with the existing concrete sleepers. Better bonding means higher durability of cement composites in the future – explains the winner.
