Researchers from the Warsaw Collegium Civitas on October 26-27, 2018 will take part in the symposium “We, the people: Political, media and popular discourses of ‘us’ and them”, which will take place in the Department of Media and Communications of the London School of Economics.
Prof. Stanisław Mocek, rector of the Collegium Civitas will present there the topic: “Opposed Poles: Political and Social Discourses on the Nation, Democracy and Europe”, and Dr. Marek Troszyński will talk about “Liberal and illiberal Polish encounters with refugees”.
The two-day London Symposium will explore communication strategies and populist discourses in the society. The seminar will be devoted to the politics of identity, political, media and social narratives concerning “us” and “them” in Europe and beyond.
