Three researchers from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology are among those who will receive money for their innovative projects under the 14th Leader programme of the National Centre for Research and Development. 

Dr Dorota Stachowiak from the Department of Field Theory, Electronic Circuits and Optoelectronics, won almost PLN 1.8 million for the project ‘Manufacturing technologies of innovative optical fibre components for advanced applications in photonics’. A similar amount for the project ‘Unmanned rapid response airframe delivering defibrillator to people with SCA’ was won by Dr Eng. Tomasz Kisiel, from the Department of Technical Systems Operations. 

Dr Sławomir Czarnecki, from the Department of Materials and Construction Processes Engineering, won more than PLN 1.5 million for the project ‘Synergy of waste plastics, construction waste from demolition and other industrial waste for making 100% recycled pavements and cycle paths’ (SORCERER).
