Professor Dariusz Mikielewicz and Dr Eng Jan Wajs from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Gdańsk University of Technology received the Siemens Research Prize, awarded for the particularly valuable and practicable results of scientific research.
Scholars of the mechanical department were awarded for their work: “Waste heat management from the power unit through the use of the ORC cycle reheated with steam from the vent and new high-performance heat exchanger structures”.
The Siemens award is granted to Polish scientists and research teams since 1995. The award promotes outstanding and practical achievements in the field of technology and research conducted by scientists of academic and non-academic institutions in Poland in the electrotechnics, energy, electronics, ICT, automation, rail transport, biomedical engineering and environmental engineering.
