Researchers of the Medical University of Wroclaw receive Grants of the National Science Center

 Three scientists from the Medical University of Wroclaw received grants from the National Science Center within Opus and Preludium calls.

The winner of the Opus call was Wojciech Kosmala from the Department and Clinic of Cardiology. He received over 400,000 PLN for the implementation of the project: “A hypertensive response to moderate exercise load and an increased risk of developing cardiovascular complications and reduced exercise tolerance”.

The PRELUDIUM grant was granted to Artur Andrzej Nahorecki from the Department of Angiology at the Faculty of Health Sciences for the implementation of the project: “Sleep apnea syndrome in patients with carotid stenosis – affecting the stability of atherosclerotic plaque” and Aneta Popiel from the Department of Histology and Embryology at the Faculty of Medicine for the implementation of the project: “The role of testine expression in pre-invasive and invasive cervical cancer”.
