Researchers of the Poznań University of Economics join the “European Tourism Sustainability Monitoring 2030” project

A team of researchers from the Poznań University of Economics (UEP), together with partners from five European countries, has launched the research and training project “European Tourism Sustainability Monitoring 2030”. 

The work is funded by the European programme COSME – Competitiveness of Enterprises and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, which promotes the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises and strengthens entrepreneurship in Europe, reports the university.

The theme of the project is the post-pandemic recovery of the tourism economy in the light of the concept of sustainable development. It will result in the establishment of an international network of more than 80 small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the tourism sector. 

The leader of the three-year project is researchers from the University of Innsbruck. In addition to the UEP team, the international project consortium consists of academics and industry experts from universities and R&D institutions from Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Romania and Italy.
