At the beginning of January, a patrol and intervention vehicle co-created by scientists from the University of Economics in Poznań will be tested by the police. Work on the project lasted almost a year.
The prototype that changes the current way of thinking about the functionality of the police fleet was created as part of a research and development project. It was developed by a consortium of three partners: the Polish Internal Security Platform (coordinator), the Special Purpose Vehicle of the University of Economics in Poznań (scientific partner) and the GERMAZ Automobile Home (industrial partner).
The project was financed in 100 percent from the consortium’s own resources. The aim was to create a vehicle best tailored to the Police’s needs, with a thorough consideration of the officers’ opinions and expectations, strictly as an innovative research and development project.
