Scientists of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology received over PLN 12 million for their projects within the Maestro and Sonata Bis competitions organized by the National Science Center. Their research concern perovskites, active enzymes and artificial intelligence.
Nearly PLN 4 million under the Maestro competition was received by Dr Paulina Płochocka-Maude, Faculty of Basic Technical Problems. She will implement a project “SERENADE – Soft Perovskites – A New Paradigm in Semiconductor Engineering”.
Dr Eng. Paulina Kasperkiewicz-Wasilewska, Faculty of Chemistry will implement the project “Heterogeneity of neutrophils dependent on serine proteases” with the funding of nearly PLN 3 million. Those studies are conducted jointly with scientists of the Jagiellonian University.
Funding of over PLN 1.4 million was received by Dr Eng. Michał Przewoźniczek, Faculty of Computer Science and Management. His research is focused on the development of new artificial intelligence tools.
