As many as 27 scholars of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology were included in the prestigious ranking of the most influential people of science in the world. TOP 2 percent list contains the names of scientists whose publications are most often cited by other authors.
There are almost 160,000 names from all over the world on the list, including 726 scholars of the Polish research centers. The largest group – 141 researchers are members of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Wrocław University of Science and Technology is on the 6th position among Polish participants. The highest rate is achieved by Prof. Rafał Weron, Department of computer science and management, followed by Prof. Paweł Pohl and Prof. Katarzyna Chojnacka from the chemical faculty.
TOP 2 percent is developed by analysts of Stanford University, Elsevier Publishing and SciTech Strategies. It evaluates the entire scientific output of researchers according to the bibliometric index, taking into account such criteria as: the Hirsch index, the number of citations (including self-citations) or the position on the list of authors.
