238 scientists joined the group of winners of the MINIATURA 7 competition. They will realise single scientific activities worth nearly PLN 9.4 million in units all over Poland. In the competition, the National Science Centre awarded a total of 621 grants worth almost PLN 24.2 million.
The MINIATURA 7 competition for scientific activities was open to researchers employed in Polish units who hold a doctoral degree obtained not earlier than 1 January 2011. Researchers could plan activities in the form of preliminary/pilot research, queries, a research internship, a research trip or a consultancy trip.
The largest group of successful applicants on the published sixth and final ranking list are representatives of the life sciences. They will implement 98 projects worth more than PLN 4.5 million. They include activities oriented towards the improvement or search for new therapies for human diseases, including cancer.
