Rwandan ambassador visits to the University of Rzeszow

Professor Anastase Shyaka, Rwanda’s ambassador to Poland, visited the University of Rzeszów (UR), where he met with students and university authorities, who were represented by Professor Sylwester Czopek, rector of the UR and Dr Elżbieta Rokosz, Professor UR, vice-rector for student affairs and education.

The discussions focused on the planned cooperation in student education. Professor Anastase Shyaka delivered a paper “Rwanda: culture, economy and transformation”, which was followed by a discussion.

UR points out that the Rwandan ambassador was impressed by the infrastructure and educational opportunities at the University of Rzeszów and the research areas in which scientific projects are carried out.

Anastase Shyaka, the current Rwandan Ambassador to Poland, is a graduate of Polish universities: Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw University of Technology Business School and the University of Gdansk. In Rwanda, he was, among other things, Minister of Local Government and Director General of the Rwanda Governance Board in Kigali.
