414 students will be awarded scholarships by the Minister of Education and Science for significant scientific, artistic, or sporting achievements. Most of them are studying at the Jagiellonian University and the University of Warsaw. The laureates will receive a financial award of PLN 17,000. Candidates from students from all over Poland were assessed by a panel of experts representing all scientific and artistic fields.
The rectors presented the minister with 1150 applications for the Minister’s scholarship for significant achievements for the 2022/2023 academic year. They were evaluated by an advisory team to assess applications for scholarships from the minister responsible for higher education and science for students and outstanding young scientists.
Most scholarships were awarded to students submitted by: Jagiellonian University in Kraków – 45, Warsaw University – 42, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń – 28, Wrocław University of Science and Technology – 27, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin – 21 and University of Rzeszów – 19.
