The Silesian Medical University is opening two new faculties: Cosmetic Chemistry and Health Coach. The first one will be implemented at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Sosnowiec, the second one at the Faculty of Public Health in Bytom.
On the “Cosmetic chemistry” course, students will gain knowledge of raw materials used in the production of cosmetics of synthetic and natural origin, including the use of in vitro methods, as well as of formulation and quality control of cosmetics using modern analytical methods and specialised apparatus.
The direction ” Health Coach” responds to the growing demand for educational programmes in health sciences, resulting not only from negative epidemiological indicators in the area of lifestyle-related diseases, but also from the increasing health awareness of the population. Graduates will be able to provide services to consumers and businesses in the private market and in public sector units.
